Devlog 1 - Inspiration + Source Material


The first game I looked at was Wounded Winter. I like the low poly character design and simplistic blood splatters.


Second was A Key(s) Path. This is a REALLY fun game with a really cool mechanic, but I was mainly focused on the background. I really like when the background includes multiple layers that move independetly as the player moves.

Finally I looked at Fencing. I wasn't sure what else I wanted to look at, but I like the simplistic pixel art characters. Maybe they would be used for character icons or some sort of hub world token.
