Devlog 3 - Exploratory Design Concepts


Concept 1

My first concept is a map or stage. I want to base them thematically around places that exist in our various campaigns that the players have been to, so this one is modeled off the Plane of Air. A groundless expanse of infinite sky, occasionally broken up by floating islands. Small islands are often chained to larger ones to create networks for civilations.


Concept 2

Second I drew one of the character's weapons. A yklwa (a type of spear) with magical energy around it called Blood Mist. I imagine that character (Nameed #240) would have mechanics around building Blood Mist from taking/recieving hits, so the character and weapon would visually indicate how much they have based on the intensity of its glow.

Concept 3

Finally I drew a character, this is Frelsi. He spends most of his time parading as a normal human tourist, but in reality, he's the king of the underwater world he's on vacation from. He has a ring that lets him appear human and breath air, so I imagine a form changing fighter, perhaps building from some sort of meter instead of freely switching.
